Zooooooooo!

L to R: Ella, Sasha, and me

I hadn't been on a bus in YEARS. Yup. Can't really say I missed it. It was just as awesome as I remembered. The kids kept singing songs the WHOLE WAY THERE. I kept wanting to start 99 bottles of beer on the wall but Aron wouldn't let me (buzz kill)
Ella petting a snake

Wellllllll, at the end of May, Aron and I both took the day off work to be chaperones for Ella's class trip to the zoo. In the weeks leading up to the big trip, the kids had to do projects on an animal of their choosing which included doing research and a 3-5 minute oral presentation. What did Ella chose for the subject of her project?

Yup. That's what are hanging upside down and sleeping in the above photos. I secretly love it that she doesn't feel peer pressured into liking something more "girly" and cute. She marches to the beat of her own drum and I love it!

So very cool. I'm looking forward to the day Lindsay & I get to chaperone a trip to the zoo. Our little bugger is only 3, though, so we have a few years to go. Oh yes, we've been to the zoo many times. Just waiting for a ride in a big yellow box :)
