Put me in, Coach! I'm ready to play...today...center field...

Ella's on the right
If you click on the picture, you will be able to confirm that, yes, she wears white socks with little pink hearts on them. I keep trying to tell her that no one fears a white sock with little pink hearts on them but she won't listen. SHE JUST WON'T LISTEN!

Get ready to run, Sweetie. Mommy likes a child who scores. Children that don't score have to run laps in the back yard.

You should never be leaning over, Sweetie. You should always be in a ready position which does not include lazing around as such. Mommy likes winners, Honey. Losers drink protein shakes.

Ella started her summer softball league. She had to move up to the coach pitch level which we were unprepared for (Aron took it a lot better than I did). She's been doing pretty well with it so far. I've been trying to teach her to be more aggressive with her running of the bases. There may have been some practicing of the running in our backyard...there may have been some whining...there may have been grumbling around... but there was no crying cause
(as I channel my inner Tom Hanks)

THERE'S NO CRYING. ARE YOU CRYING? THERE'S NO CRYING! THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASE-BALL!!! (click for the link to Tom)

And Mommy wants to win and stomp all those other little girls into the ground. There will be crying in baseball for them, Ella. Oh yes, there will be crying for them**

**she says at no one in particular staring with a cocked brow with her voice a mere whisper by the end

No, Mommy's not competitive. Not at all.
