North Market Festivus for the Restivus

2 parents + 2 kids + 1 North Market Harvest Festival=1 good time
Thank you, Columbus Jaycees!
You can almost hear Aron now..."seriously, Ella, you gonna eat all that sammie? Daddy likes extra sammie."

Cookie judge #1

Cookie Judge #2

On Saturday, we all went to the North Market for a little Harvest festival. My good buddy, Jim, (aka The CMH Gourmand) was a judge for the bake off. Featured items in the bake off were pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, and apple pie. He tried to get me to compete (clearly, he's sampled my delicacies) but it was just logistically too difficult. Maybe next year.

As part of the festival, the Market gave out free apples and free cookies (courtesy of Mozart's cafe). The Columbus Jaycees (holla to my buddy, T, who is a part of the Canton Jaycees) had big tables set up for the kids to decorate pumpkins, eat caramel apples, and color some pictures. I bought a few things at the farmer's market (think purple green peppers and eggplant. Tasty.)

After all the North Market fun, we bought some lunch and ate it in a local park.

Ah...good times.
