Mommy and Me Sewing Class!

Ella and I decided to do a Mommy and Me Sewing Class together.  It was offered for free thru our local extension office (don't know what an extension office is?  Click the link to discover.) as a two session class.  We had the first class last week where she started out slow by using a sewing machine (with no thread) to practice on paper.  They then moved on to making stitches on practice scrap material and eventually made a pin cushion.  Next week they will meet again to make pillow cases.  Super fun!

The excited participants!

Practicing on paper...

Still practicing...

Watching our friends, Kaylene and Kortney, practice with paper...

Ta da!

Ok, so enough with the pictures already...

Seriously, no more pictures...

Practicing with scrap fabric...

Concentrating on making her pin cushion...
The finished product!  The black square on the left is the
pin cushion and the pink and yellow items on the
right are the beginnings of finger puppets she made with her scraps.
