What Are Big Sisters For?
I don't wanna say she likes it when he gets frustrated playing games on my phone but, well, I think you know how she feels...

Camp!
Ella recently spent a few days away at camp. She had a fantastic time and tried many new things like zip lining. I asked if she missed us/home. She reports that she didn't have time to miss us. I'd say that's both good and bad!

I Scream...You Scream
There's an ice cream shop down the street from our house. Let's just say that it has been tempting us all summer...
Here we are with our friend, Kaylene.
Participation in 4H judging!
Ella is participating in 4H this summer (see also previous post about working with Grandpa Steve). In addition to the woodworking project, she took an intro sewing class. I only took a few pictures because, quite frankly, we waited until the last minute to do the project so we were in a bit of a time crunch. She made a two layer skirt and a burnt-edge flower for the elastic waistband. I have told Ella that she has maxed out my skill level with this intro level class!! She had to do some re-sewing here and there but otherwise did a fantastic job. Here are some good shots of the fun...

Project Time
She's Not a GIRLFRIEND... She's a girl(space)friend
Luke got invited to a birthday party a couple weeks ago. It was a party for a girl but don't make the mistake of calling her his girlfriend because he quickly makes the angry face and corrects you. However, I will tell you that he bought a new Ninjago shirt and had me gel up his hair for the occasion.
Not
A
Girlfriend.
I will also tell you that he wanted to go to Target with me and pick out her gift and was very specific about what was purchased.
Again.
Not
A
Girlfriend.
He probably spent 95% of his time at her party jumping on her giant trampoline. I watched him play ball with Little Miss Not My Girlfriend. During the course of play he knocked her down and jumped on her arm so that she couldn't catch the ball he wanted.
It's clearly love.
