After our camping gear got soaked, we had a few choices for lodging: sleeping in our rain-soaked gear, sleeping in our car, trying to find a hotel, or calling to see if our cabin might be available a day earlier than we had planned. We had no cell service, no wifi for the computer, and, as a result, had no idea what we were going to do. We drove far enough away from the Smokys to get one bar on the phone (can you hear me now? Good.) and called the cabin rental agency. As luck would have it, we were able to get in a night early.
